Rules and conditions

There are some special requirements to those willing to compete in Lenin Race:

  • You should know theoretically and practically how to move on snow and ice.

  • The result of each participant is defined from the start point till the finish.

  • Those considered to have finished the race are participants who have reached the finish without any assistance and have returned to the start point not later than 12 of the day after the start, otherwise the participant is considered to not have finished the Race.

  • There are several check point during the route.

  • If the participants exceeds the control time he is recommended to go down to the Base Camp.

  • It is strictly prohibited to use any kind of transport, ski or any kind of help from anybody.

  • Each participant should be aware of the risk they undertake while climbing the Lenin Peak.

  • Each participant undertakes the whole responsibility for his health and safety.

  • The organizers of the event check the route and provide the belaying where necessary

  • The fact that the athlete takes part in the Race means that he is healthy enough and that he has all the necessary skills in mountaineering to climb the Lenin Peak 


The entry fee is 100 USD.

  • Climbing harness

  • Personal first aid kid

  • Mountain boots

  • Crampons

  • Sun protection cream

  • Double lanyards

  • Prusik hitch and ascender

  • Sunglasses

  • Headlamp
